Membership of Tamborine Mountain Sports Association is restricted to sport and recreation clubs within the Tamborine Mountain area. The principal catchment is Tamborine Mountain (Scenic Rim Shire), population 6,534, which includes postcode areas 4271 (Eagle Heights) and 4272 (Mount Tamborine and North Tamborine). The Centre also aims to attract those young people from surrounding locations of Tamborine (Postcode 4270; pop. 3,176), Canungra-Wonglepong (Postcode 4275; pop. 1,106) and Guanaba (Postcode 4210; pop. 591) who attend schools on Tamborine Mountain. Total population of the catchment approximates 11,407 (ABS QuickStats (various) 2007).
