Tamborine Mountain Sports Centre is a new sport and recreation complex located at 400 Long Road, North Tamborine, Queensland. Stage 1 of the complex was funded by a Commonwealth grant from the Regional Local Community Infrastructure-Strategic Projects 2009 Program and was completed and opened by Mayor John Brent and Mr Brett Raguse MP, Member for Forde, on 1st August 2010.

Tamborine Mountain Sports Association Limited is a not for profit company, limited by guarantee, that was formed to develop the Tamborine Mountain Sports Centre and to manage its ongoing operations. It is owned and managed by local sport and recreation clubs from the Tamborine Mountain region.

Our Vision

To create and manage a sports and recreation complex and community focal point for all ages that blends in with Tamborine Mountain's village environment and ecology and which fosters a happy and healthy community through resident participation in sport, recreation and relaxation.

Our Objects

To coordinate continued development of the Tamborine Mountain Sports Centre;
To manage its operations; and
To co-ordinate multi-sport activities in the Tamborine Mountain region.

Our Catchment

The principal catchment is Tamborine Mountain (Scenic Rim Shire), which includes postcode areas 4271 (Eagle Heights) and 4272 (Mount Tamborine and North Tamborine). The complex also attracts those young people from surrounding locations of Tamborine (Postcode 4270), Canungra-Wonglepong (Postcode 4275) and Guanaba (Postcode 4210) who attend schools on Tamborine Mountain. Total population of the catchment approximates 11,407 (ABS QuickStats (various) 2007).
